SBB ‎– 1 (Polskie Nagrania Muza PNCD 342)
SBB notoriously had the dodgiest of dodgy starts for any band ever! I Need You Baby is at least now easily skippable on CD. But what an album it is that follows! Mahavishnu meets the freakiest of Manfred Mann's Earth band jams, fused with a blues/groove prog/psych innovation of their own. SBB were both highly derivative and totally unique!!!
You can get various issues of SBB's live debut album. This was the first remastered full version on CD, which contains the whole of the original LP (with LP sides joined back together) and with authentic sound (as the LP sounded if you turned the treble up a bit!) and included some excellent bonus tracks. The only minus point being that you don't get the full original cover. But, it is only mid-price, and a bargain no less.
A more recent "Complete Tapes" version in fact is a cheat, as this PNCD 342 is the complete gig! That adds another track, but from a different concert! Also, the new remastering job on that has the sound compressed somewhat.
