Last St Germain album from 2001 Wav Quality audio Label : Blue Note Records. Since the advent of acid jazz in the mid-'80s, the many electronic-jazz hybrids to come down the pipe have steadily grown more mature, closer to a balanced fusion that borrows the spontaneity and emphasis on group interaction of classic jazz while still emphasizing the groove and elastic sound of electronic music. For his second album, French producer Ludovic Navarre expanded the possibilities of his template for jazzy house by recruiting a sextet of musicians to solo over his earthy productions. Listen free to St. Germain Tourist Rose Rouge, Ernest Ranglin and more. 9 tracks 59:58. Germain surrounds his beats and samples with performances by live musicians, even getting the fine Jamaican guitarist Ernest Ranglin to contribute some licks on Montego Bay Spleen. Each of these tracks has something distinctive about it: the Marlena Shaw snippet that's sampled throughout Rose Rouge, the John Lee Hooker guitar and voice samples on &. Beware, I just brought a new copy of this LP but instead of Tourist vinyl and insert, there is St Germain's St Germain vinyl and inserts inside. 답글 나에게 알림 Helpful. 2019년 8월 16일. 참조: Tourist, 2x12, Album, RE, RM, 180, 5099963622010. the song pont des arts of my copy has distorsion. It's a shame, don't buy this version.
Huh, not sure what all the issues are with this particular pressing but my copy sounds great
Don't buy, its all distorsion and noise. Bought last month from Juno
"Sure thing" (maybe the best track of the album) sounds really bad. Ok with the other tracks.
Same here indeed, it has a lot of static, which is a shame. I was hoping it's just my copy, but reading all the responses here, I'm afraid it's just a really bad batch :-( Ridiculous.
Disc 2 sure thing, has a lot of distortion left channel - last part sounds really bad, quiet. - shame.rest plays good.
Is this the shrink-wrapped version with "Recut from Original Master" hype sticker on the wrap?I'm not sure what this was originally mixed down to but it really needs an all analogue mastering & cutting by one of the likes of Scott Hull @ Masterdisk / Ryan Smith @ Sterling Sound / Miles Showell @ Abbey Road / Kevin Gray @ Cohearent Audio.20th anniversary of this next year. A good opportunity to put right the wrongs of the past. Speakers Corner or MFSL maybe?
Shocking press and seems i'm not the only one. How can this have been signed off! Sure Thing is unplayable and Rose Rouge distorted.
Try using a Cartridge Alignment Protractor and readjusting the needle alignment with the groove. Had the exact same problem with those 2 tracks you mentioned now they sound crystal clear.
Noise noise noise noise noise noise noise noise noise don't buy!
Hello, i bought a vinyl record st germain tourist ident code 5099963622010.Disc 2 sure thing, has a lot of distortion left chanmel, so won't play this record anymore. I went to the shop and let them ordered another. That one has the same problem with same ident code. I think that whole batch has that same problem.I want a vinyl record that plays nicely. That distortion is not te be heard on the cd. Wich i also have.Someone else has this same problem?Costumer service Parlaphone didn't replied after i complained.
C1 is pressed really bad. "Sure Thing" has noise all over the track. The rest of this record is quite good.
Just bought the 2012 pressing, and same here but only "Sure Thing" is not listenable :( all the rest is perfect though...
this pressing has had such bad rap I need to say that the copy I bought recently off amazon is outstanding (altho it was listed as a blue note). playing side by side against the CD, the CD sounds slow and flabby and the vinyl crisp with no noise, crackle or distortion. maybe parlophone sorted it out or maybe I'm very lucky!
Don't buy this press, seems that all the copies are terrible like everyone said. Too bad.
its the same with the new rp of boulevard, damn shame
Bought a copy from Amazon that was listed as a Blue Note release. Got the Parlophone release instead. Like the other comments suggest, a really bad pressing. Overall sound quality is surprisingly bad, especially A1 - Rose Rouge and C1 - Sure Thing. I don't know what it is with all those so-called remastered versions on 180 gram (or more), but every time I purchase one there's at least one track that's completely unplayable. This one is a new low for me. Might as well stick with the original releases all together.
For lucky i have a second copy of the same Record & just another release this play lovely ...
Have the same problem in C1 Sure thing cracking noises at the start and track with completly destortion ,track not playabel at all such a pitty one of my favourite tracks on this record ...????
Can confirm distortion in A1, also noise throughout entire C1
Confirming noize. Left channel the entire track 5, "shure thing", face C.
Thought I was buying the Blue Note version of this lp as that was the way it was listed but just received a copy of the Parlophone version of this lp. Can confirm track C1 is not playable. Stay away!
They call this a remastered version?Track A1 has bad sound quality, the trumpet sound goes in overdrive and gives you headache !Track C2 has terrible hissing hi-hat noise !I bought this today, I'll bring this back to the shop tomorrow...
Can also confirm the hissing during the first track of face C. Such a pity. Have some quality control EMI.
Can confirm misspress of track 1 face C. Loud noise throughout entire track. Also crackling noise in track 2 of face C and even face D has noises and a few skips.
I have issues on A1, B1 and a few on C1. I feel disgusted.Bought Boulevard the very same day and thankfully it sounds pretty good all over.
Got this version twice, both have a misspress in track 1 face C
